Licensed Asbestos Inspection & Testing
Older New England homes frequently contain materials that may include asbestos, particularly in properties constructed prior to the 1980s. We provide licensed asbestos inspection and sampling services for renovation planning, demolition compliance, real estate transactions, and insurance documentation. Our role is strictly inspection and documentation. We do not perform asbestos abatement, maintaining independent third-party neutrality.

He was personable and took his time answering all my questions. He was knowledgeable, and we look forward to working with them to improve the air quality in my house.Posted on Google Maria BaylesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this home inspection company based on my experience. The inspector showed up about an hour before our scheduled appointment, and the inspection was completed far too quickly to have been done properly. There was little to walkthrough or explanation of findings — I was left with vague notes and no real guidance.I've run into several issues that a thorough inspection should have flagged. It's clear the inspection was not performed to the standard that buyers depend on. I expected more professionalism and attention to detail for such an important service. I hope the company addresses these concerns for future customers.Posted on Google Julie ClarkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience and super helpful!
VOC & Formaldehyde Testing
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde may be present in newly renovated homes, recently installed cabinetry or flooring, spray foam applications, or new construction properties.
We provide laboratory-based indoor air testing to evaluate chemical off-gassing and indoor air quality concerns. Testing is often requested when occupants experience irritation symptoms, strong odors, or post-renovation air quality concerns.
Radon Testing & Risk Assessment
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that can accumulate in basements and lower living areas. Testing is commonly performed during real estate transactions or when finishing basement spaces. We provide compliant radon testing using calibrated devices and deliver clear documentation for buyers, sellers, and mitigation contractors.
Water Quality Testing
For properties served by private wells, water quality testing may be recommended during home purchases or periodic safety evaluations.
Testing may include bacteria, nitrates, metals, and additional contaminants as requested. Laboratory analysis and documentation are provided.
HUD 203(k) Consulting & Renovation Oversight
We provide HUD 203(k) consulting services for renovation projects requiring lender compliance and documented scope-of-work oversight.
Services may include:
- Feasibility analysis
- Scope-of-work development
- Cost review
- Draw inspections
Our Inspection Process
Pre-Inspection Consultation
We review property age, renovation scope, and areas of concern to create a targeted survey plan.
Controlled Sampling & Field Inspection
Samples are collected using industry-approved safety protocols. Visual mapping and condition assessment are documented onsite.
Accredited Laboratory Analysis
All suspect materials are analyzed by an accredited laboratory using Polarized Light Microscopy.
Detailed Reporting
Reports include mapped sample locations, laboratory results, friability classification, regulatory references, and practical next-step guidance.
When Environmental Testing Becomes Urgent
Certain situations require immediate documentation and evaluation, particularly during time-sensitive transactions or renovation projects.
Environmental testing may become urgent when:
- A radon test fails shortly before closing
- Asbestos-containing materials are discovered during renovation
- Strong chemical odors persist after new flooring or cabinetry installation
- Insurance carriers require laboratory documentation
- Buyers request environmental clarity before releasing contingencies
In these scenarios, clear, independent documentation can prevent delays, support negotiations, and protect property value.
